Steven Renzetti was a Professor of Economics at Brock University where he founded WEPGN and he has been a Visiting Scholar at the University of Colorado, Boulder and the University of East Anglia. He earned his PhD in economics at UBC in 1990 after earning a BA (hons) in Environmental Studies and Economics at the University of Toronto. Professor Renzetti’s research is principally concerned with the economics of water resources. His research has been published in leading peer-reviewed journals such as Journal of Environmental Economics and Management, Canadian Journal of Economics and Environmental and Resource Economics. He is the author of The Economics of Water Demands (Kluwer, 2002) and coauthor of Economics of the Environment and Natural Resources (Blackwell, 2004). Dr. Renzetti has extensive experience working with interdisciplinary teams and as an advisor to governments. He recently served on the International Joint Commission’s Lake Ontario St Lawrence River Study Board as well as the Council of Canadian Academies’ Expert Panel on Groundwater. He has also acted as a consultant for a number of agencies including Environment Canada, the Canadian Council of Ministers of the Environment, the government of Jamaica and the World Bank. Dr. Renzetti was an Associate Editor of Water Resources Research.
