WEPGN researchers investigate a broad range of challenges and issues in water management from the lens of social and related sciences. Projects are organized under three broad thematic areas. Research projects under the Water and Economy theme contributes to improving our understanding of water’s multi-faceted contributions to Canada’s economy. Research concentrations for this theme include: enhancing our understanding of the valuing of water’s ecological goods and services; innovative policy instruments to promote efficient water use.
